Am I eligible to apply?
This project is funded by the Erasmus+ European Solidarity Corps program. This means that there are a few criteria for you to be eligible for this project. You need to be between the ages of 18 & 30 at the beginning of the project (September 01). You also need to be resident in one of the programme countries. You can find out more here.
Is this for me?
Perhaps. At the core of this project is the ethos of learning by doing and sharing knowledge, ideas and skills. It’s important that you can work in a team, but that you are also quite self-driven. You might not be the best-in-class in any one topic, but damn, how they all fascinate your curious little mind. If this resonates with you, then this is for you.
What kind of things will I be working on?
How long is a piece of string? It depends. In previous years, groups have been working on numerous projects throughout the year: from rebranding processes to running communication campaigns, organising a festival, building installations, designing a clothing line and much, much more. The program depends a lot on what will be happening at STPLN during the time that you’re here. However we make sure that you work with lots of different mediums and techniques: from photo and film shoots to designing websites, posters and Instagram posts, to making things with your hands and much, much more.
What are the living conditions like?
We rent out a 3-room private apartment each year. This is shared between the 3 participants. You’ll get a bike to ride around Malmö’s many bike paths, which take you to practically every corner of the city. You’ll also get a monthly stipend of €480 to cover your grocery and personal costs. Check out some of the previous participants experience here.
What about travel and insurance?
We’ve got it covered. We’ll get you a return ticket to/from Malmö for the dates 01/09/2024 and 30/06/2025. You’ll also get a CIGNA health insurance plan for your time that you’re here.
