ALOFILAB

In the back rooms of STPLN you could find Malmö's first (we think) publically accessible analogue media lab. A space to experiment with not so common machines and analogue techniques of making art, music and the in-betweens. This project was made possible with the support of Sparbanksstiftelsen Skåne.

AGORA

AGORA was a one-year program for young people who have a good idea with a focus the cultural and creative industries that they wanted to turn into reality.

Sometimes you just need that extra push to take the next step. Therefore STPLN teamed up with SwIdeas, In Place of War, Fotoessa and Fabrica de Pensule to start AGORA. Through a year’s long mentorship program alongside four international training courses in Sweden, UK, Romania and Greece, we supported young people to get the kickstart they deserve. Funded by Erasmus+.

COMA

The Center Of Multisensory Art (COMA) was a visionary residency program at STPLN that sought artists from the Nordics and Baltics to explore the expansive world of multisensory art. Open to various art forms, three chosen artists spent two months each at STPLN, creating diverse final pieces such as performances, exhibitions, screenings, installations, and immersive experiences. COMA was supported by Nordisk kulturkontakt through the Nordic Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture.

CYKELBIBLIOTEKET

At Cykelbiblioteket (the Bicycle Library), the project enabled people to experience cycling in new ways by offering the opportunity to borrow electric or cargo bikes. This initiative aimed to encourage cycling for various tasks, allowing individuals to test these bikes for longer rides and multiple errands, fostering a sense of exploration and sustainability.

CYKELKÖKET

Sweden’s first and best bike kitchen. A place where one could fix, mend, renovate or build bikes. Here you could find the tools and others to ask for help – but you had to do the job. Cykelköket also organized a lot of courses and events.

The mentorship program, a dynamic initiative of STPLN, empowered young creatives to elevate their passions. Over four months, participants received invaluable mentorship, engaging meetings, a robust network, and boundless motivation to kickstart their visions in fields like design, film, art, fashion, music, and more. Accomplished organizations and inspiring figures led these sessions, sharing their expertise in business development, project management, production, and innovation. The program provided access to STPLN's collaborative workspace, cutting-edge facilities, and versatile spaces, ensuring the optimal environment for transforming ideas into reality. This project was funded by Region Skåne.

JUBILEUM

Jubileum was a scholarship program for innovative projects, selecting 8 diverse initiatives during the March to May 2021 open call. These projects spanned various domains such as choir, textiles, immersive theatre, urban gardening, and more. Through this initiative, STPLN nurtured local independent creators by providing them space, skills, exhibitions, and experiences to grow and excel. The program underscored the crucial need for collective support for local creators and creative businesses in these times.
